As an architect he started working for David Adjaye in his studio in London, but has also collaborated with other architecture studios in Antwerp and Lisbon. As a researcher at C-Lab he has developed projects for New York, London, Tokyo and Venice (Biennale 2014, with Rem Koolhaas).
He was editorial coordinator for “Passagens” magazine and curated various exhibitions. He communicates about architecture and the city and their intersections with other areas like music, fashion, writing, photography, cinema, philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, politics, travel.
He is currently a researcher for FAUP and writes for various publications as well as for his blog “Hugo’s Peep Box”.
